WLRC and MoWE Thematic Leads Conducted a Panel Discussion reflecting on the processes of the Catchment Baseline Situations Assessments, the quality of the Reports and Presentations, and the suggested interventions.
Water and Land Resource Centre (WLRC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Energy(MoWE), started a five-day Catchment Situation Assessment, Preliminary Findings and Catchment Management Plan (CMP) Review Workshop, for four catchments within four of the five basins wherein the BRIGHT project is in progress.

A critical community consultation held at the Hare irrigation weir has successfully resolved a long-standing land use conflict, paving the way for the BRIGHT project’s major quick-win intervention: mechanical silt removal and restoration of the weir and canal system.
