The Second annual assembly meeting of the Water Security and Sustainable Development HUB project held at Hilton Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia February 24-28, 2020. The project is a UKRI funded GCRF project where Newcastle University is coordinating as a HQ and University of Leeds and Oxford collaborates in the research activities in the four Collaboratory countries namely: Colombia, Ethiopia, India and Malaysia.
A total of 100+ participants have attended the assembly meeting from across the global hub member institutions from UK, Colombia, Ethiopia, India and Malaysia. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss on the progresses of the workstreams and next steps, to gain an understanding of the specific water security context in Ethiopia (field trips), to refresh and re-energise partnerships across the Hub member institutions and facilitate and show case of the connections and partnerships among the Early Career Researchers (ECRs) networks and other stakeholders.
Forthcoming activity: The Colombian Collaboratory will organize the 3rd Water security and sustainable Hub annual Assembly meeting in November 2020.
