ICT staff of Water and Land Resource Centre, Addis Ababa University, facilitated training on Sustainable Land Management Programme Knowledge Management Information Systems (SLMP-KMIS) offline software, August 12 - 15/2021, in Hawassa.
Samuel Tesfaye, System Administrator at WLRC, reported that the training focused on users’ skills of data encoding, verification and synchronization. The overall objective of the offline system is to support data verification and synchronization with the server in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture (MOA). The training was attended by 60 experts that came from Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples (SNNP) region and zonal and woreda offices, as well as system administrator from the SLMP federal office. Valuable inputs that help the ICT team to improve the software were also collected by the team
The SLMP-KMIS offline system is being developed by WLRC in order to assist users to synchronise the data found on their local computer with the server in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, with the ultimate purpose of enabling them to generate coherent and harmonized report.
