The Kunzila Integrated Landscape Management Project (Kunzila ILMWA) Project, which is being co-implemented by WLRC AAU and SNV Ethiopia in partnership with the concerned government organs in the Amhara Region, West Gojjam Zone, North Achefer Wereda and communities in six rural kebeles of Kunzila Watershed and Kunzila town, supported the construction of 23.29 km rural all-weather road networks connecting with the main road the six nursery sites that were established by WLRC,
and creating road access for communities in more than 10 villages. The KILMWA project Manager reported that the communities made labour and in-kind contributions estimated at 2,328,000 ETB

Also six nursery sites, some of them with sheds, were constructed and set functional.

It was learnt that the local communities were so cooperative and committedly involved in the construction of the roads, nurseries, reservoirs and physical soil and water conservation structures. Communities have started showing high sense of ownership of those results, a key factor for optimism about sustainability of the outcomes of the project.
