[June 15, 2026 | Addis Ababa] – The Water and Land Resource Centre (WLRC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE), has commenced a three-day workshop to review the draft National Guidelines for Surface and Wastewater Quality Monitoring, which were prepared under BRIGHT Project. The workshop was held at Capital Hotel from June 15–17, 2026, bringing together experts and stakeholders to strengthen the country’s water quality monitoring framework.
The workshop brought together more than 20 participants from the Ministry of Water and Energy, universities, research institutions, WLRC and other relevant stakeholder organizations. Over the three days, participants review the draft document, provide technical inputs, and contribute to the development of a standardized framework for monitoring surface and wastewater quality across the country.
