[Nov. 30, 2025]: Following the two-day review of the catchment situation assessment reports, the WLRC and MoWE Thematic Leads Conducted a Panel Discussion reflecting on the processes of the Catchment Baseline Situations Assessments, the quality of the Reports and Presentations, and the suggested interventions.
They all emphasised that the assessments were well designed and executed and the draft reports captured key findings and intervention points. The Panellists appreciated the assessment teams for their commendable work done within short time and where access to some of the sites was limited due to absence of roads and security concerns. Dr. Gete Zeleke, WLRC Director General, and the Panellists alike highlighted gaps and outstanding areas for improvement in enriching and finalising the assessment reports and sharpening the suggested interventions.
