A training on the general requirements for competence testing and calibration of water laboratories takes place in Bishoftu for water quality experts from MOWE, including EWTI, BAOs, and RWBs. Dr. Bitew Kassaw, Aquatic Ecosystem Health Specialist for the BRIGHT Project, indicated that the four-day training (March 30 – April 2) aims to equip water quality experts with the knowledge and skills needed for competency tests and lab equipment calibration as requirements to enable water laboratories to qualify for ISO accreditation.
