Ladies and Gentlemen,

My sincerest greetings to you! Let me hereby share with you some key messages on WLRC’s accomplishments in the year 2022/23. Water and Land Resources Centre (WLRC) has been pursuing its mission of generating, enhancing, managing and disseminating scientific knowledge and innovations that help improve peoples’ livelihoods or inform policies and programs on sustainable management of water and land resources.

Finance and Budget Manager/Head

WLRC is looking for a Finance and Budget Manager/Head on a Fixed-term full time contract renewable on yearly basis contingent upon outstanding performance of the staff and availability of funding. The place of work is Addis Ababa and reports to Director of People, Resources & Operations Division.

WLRC Conducts Water Sensitive Planning Validation Workshop

Water and Land Resource Centre (WLRC) Water Security and Sustainable Development Hub (GCRF Project), in association with Addis Ababa Plan and Development Commission (AAPDC), conducted validation workshop on “Water Sensitive Planning (WSP) Strategies for Sustainable Urban Development in Melkashene (Fenta) Watershed, Upper Awash Basin Addis Ababa”, 14th of December 2023 at Azzeman Hotel, Addis Ababa.

Consortium Members of ARUA – The GUILD Clusters of Excellence Hold Inaugural Meeting

The African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) – the GUILD Clusters of Excellence consortium members, namely: CDE, the University of Bern from the North and WLRC, Addis Ababa University and CETRAD, Nairobi University from the South held Inaugural meeting of the Clusters of Research Excellence in Sustainable Water and Land Resource Management for Human Well-being, at WLRC Meeting Hall, Addis Ababa.

International CLOC Workshop

WLRC in association with the Switzerland Eastern Africa Research Network organizes International the Cluster of Cooperation (CLOC) workshop on the 20th and 21st of November 2023 at Inter luxury Hotel, Addis Ababa. The workshop is on “Science – policy interface for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)” that aims to foster North-South and South –South partnerships for research and education.
