[Oct. 9, 2025]: MoWE experts that were trained with support by the BRIGHT Project graduated with MSC from the Deutch Delft Institute for Water Education. Their training in different fields related to IWRM and Basin Planning and Management is part of the deliverables under Work Package 3, Sub Work Package 3.1 of the BRIGHT Project, which aims to develop the technical capacity of MoWE and its component Basin Offices.
Abebe Asele, one of the graduates, expressed, “Indeed, it was a memorable and emotional day for all of us, especially when our late friend was mentioned. Abebe was grateful to Dr. Gete for his commitment in supporting their training under the BRIGHT and for his commitment in attending virtually the Graduation Ceremony.
Dr. Gete Zeleke, WLRC Director General, congratulated the graduates for their successful completion of the program and reminded them to prepare to make a difference in Basin Planning and propel IWRM implementation back home. Dr. Gete shared the congratulatory messages also to the MoWE Officials and he said, “This is a big milestone and now we have to make sure their stay until end of December is as productive as possible”.
