Debre Birhan University’s wastewater treatment plant rehabilitation mission, one of the BRIGHT projects in the Abbay basin, began yesterday. In order to prevent frequent damage to the current waste water collection unit and ensure the treatment system’s sustainable operation, the images depict the investigations of the malfunctioning pumps, electric systems, baseline data collection, and surveying for designing the gravity system of the university’s waste water treatment intake system input. Because the wastewater treatment system is not working for the last three years; the raw waste enters the Beresa River system immediately. The activity is proceeding according to the planned timetable.
