Engdasew Feleke (PhD)

Dr. Engdasew Feleke is a senior gender specialist with over 17 years of experience providing technical leadership in gender equality, social inclusion, and equitable water and land resource governance. She designs gender mainstreaming strategies to advance the integration of gender-responsive and inclusive approaches into Integrated Water Resources Management, promoting the meaningful participation and empowerment of women, youth, and marginalized groups. She has worked with universities, international NGOs, research institutions, and development partners, including collaboration with the University of Oxford on water insecurity, equity, and resilience research. Her expertise spans gender and water governance, women’s leadership, climate resilience, gender social norms transformation, water security, and sustainable livelihoods. Through research, capacity building, and policy engagement, she contributes to evidence-based solutions that advance equity, resilience, and sustainable water, land and other natural resources management.
