WLRC-REACH Project held a half-day “Water and Gender Workshop” at the Addis Ababa Hyatt Regency Hotel on June 14, 2022. The workshop was organized in collaboration with Oxford University.

The workshop was attended by participants from Awash Basin Authority, Amhara Region BoWomen and Child Affairs, various NGOs and government offices in Addis Ababa.

Dr. Tena gave an opening remarks at the workshop, followed by presentations by Oxford university team members, Prof. Katrina Charles and Dr. Catherine Grasham as well as Dr. Jemal from WLRC. Recorded presentation was also presented by other members of the Oxford University team. The presentation’s topic was “REACH gendered water insecurity findings so far” and “REACH future research direction”. Finally, group discussion and reflection was held during the workshop.
