[July 14–18, 2026, Bahir Dar] – The Water and Land Resource Centre (WLRC) conducted a five-day capacity-development and co-planning workshop on Water-Sensitive Planning (WSP) in Bahir Dar. The Workshop, was supported by the BRIGHT Project, and it aimed at advancing efforts to integrate water management into urban development and promote more resilient, sustainable cities.
The program brought together 40 participants representing the Bahir Dar City Mayor’s Office, Urban Development and Infrastructure Bureau, Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), Urban Plan Institute, Bahir Dar Polytechnic College, Bahir Dar University, Abbay Basin Development Authority, Bahir Dar Water and Sewerage Service, civil society organizations, and community representatives.
