The Water and Land Resource Center (WLRC) marked International Women’s Day 2026 under the BRIGHT Project, bringing together partners, government representatives, researchers, and community members to celebrate the vital role of women in water and land resource management. Held at YOD Abyssinia Cultural Restaurant, the event featured inspiring experience-sharing sessions, including personal reflections from project beneficiaries and pioneering Ethiopian researchers on how development initiatives have transformed livelihoods and strengthened community resilience. A key highlight of the program was the experience-sharing sessions, where model family from Kunzila project shared inspiring personal stories on how project interventions have positively transformed their livelihoods and strengthened community resilience. Reflections from pioneering Ethiopian researchers and leaders from partner organizations MoWE, ZemenBank, also enriched the discussion, underscoring the critical role of women in shaping sustainable natural resource management.
