WLRC Conducts Trainings on “An Inbuilt Exit strategy, Performance and Sustainability Assessment for Watershed Management” and “WLRC- Knowledge Management Information System”

The training on the mentioned topics was conducted 2-11 June 2022 at Unison Hotel, Bahir Dar. Dr. Gete Zeleke Director General of WLRC indicated that the objective of the training was to equip the participants with knowledge and skills of applying “An Inbuilt Exit strategy, Performance and Sustainability Assessment for Watershed Management (ESPAWM)” and the WLRC- Knowledge Management Information System (WLRC-KMIS). The trainees were experts drawn from Amhara Region Agriculture, water and Natural Resource Management sector offices and WLRC staff members,
Through the training, the participants were able to design their Exist strategy using the ESPAWM –AGS system and also able to make multiyear plan. They were also able to capture and share their achievements in their watershed activities using the WLRC-KMIS system. The ESPAWM and WLRC-KMIS were developed by WLRC drawing on its wealth of knowledge and expertise accumulated over the years.
At the end of the training, WLRC encouraged the participants to apply the tools and handed over certificate of participation in these intensive trainings.
