[July–August 2026 ]– The Water and Land Resource Centre (WLRC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE) and regional partners, participated in Ethiopia’s 2026 Green Legacy Initiative by supporting large-scale tree planting campaign that was conducted in Goawork Village, Wedecha Catchment of the awash Basin in Oromia National Regional State, and the Abbay Basin in Bahir Dar, Amhara Region.
The campaigns formed part of the national effort to restore degraded landscapes, strengthen climate resilience, and promote sustainable natural resource management through community-led environmental restoration.
