[WLRC, September 2025]: The Water and Land Resource Centre (WLRC) participated in the “Dutch Government-Funded Projects in Ethiopia” Exhibition, held at the Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE) on 18 September 2025.
During the event, WLRC showcased progresses with its flagship projects, namely the Kunzila ILMWA and BRIGHT Projects, alongside other key achievements, including its role in coordinating the national Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) program.
A high-level Dutch delegation led by H.E. Ms. Eva Schreuder, Head of Water in the Inclusive Green Growth Department of the Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attended the exhibition. Ms. Schreuder was joined by Ms. Lisan Bijdevaate, First Secretary for Water Affairs at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ethiopia, and policy officers from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) in Addis Ababa. The Exhibition was coordinated by the NIWRMP-PCU.
In her closing remarks, Ms. Schreuder appreciated the outstanding contributions of the projects and highlighted the strong partnerships fostered, both within and among Dutch-funded initiatives in Ethiopia.
The exhibition served as an excellent platform to promote collaboration and strengthen partnerships between Ethiopian institutions and Dutch-funded programs.
