[WLRC, May 2026] The Water and Land Resource Centre (WLRC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Energy (MoWE), conducted a writeshop to develop comprehensive training modules on Stakeholder Engagement and Communicating Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). The writeshop was held from April 27 to May 2, 2026, at IVY Hotel in Bishoftu.
The initiative was undertaken as part of the BRIGHT Project’s capacity development efforts, aimed at strengthening institutional and technical capacities in water resource governance and communication. The development of these modules represents one of the key deliverables under the project, contributing to enhanced stakeholder coordination and more effective dissemination of IWRM principles.
The writeshop brought together groups of experts from WLRC, and MoWE including the Awash Basin Administration. Over the course of the five-day session, participants engaged in collaborative discussions, technical drafting, and process review to ensure that the modules are practical, context-specific, and aligned with national water management priorities.
