The Water and Land Resource Centre (WLRC) hosted a farewell dinner in honor of Mr. Jelmer van Veen, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands (EKN) on June 14, 2025 at the Ramada Hotel in Addis Ababa.
The IWRM Catchment Coordinators Induction Program took place on 11th Jun,2025 at the WLRC 5th floor. This one-day program brought together the 5 new catchment coordinators for an in-depth orientation on key institutional frameworks and project priorities.
The Basin Management Support for Resilient, Inclusive Growth, and Harmonized Transformation (BRIGHT) Project, part of Ethiopia’s National Integrated Water Resource Management Program (NIWRP), was started in 2024 and it was officially launched in Abbay, Awash, Tekeze (jointly launched in Addis Ababa), Omo-Gibe Basin (launched in Jimma town), and Rift valley Lakes Basin (event held at Arba Minch town).

The Best Management Practices (BMPs) and Innovation Roadshow was held March 31st and April 1st 2025 at the Bishoftu Agricultural Research Centre, bringing together 65 participants including researchers, practitioners, farmers, and innovators from across Ethiopia and East Africa.
